A very boastful and theatrical magic student, Hyperion is a precocious magic student, and is sure to let everyone know it. His glowing eyes, as they are for any dragon, have no indication of his Arcane abilities, yet he claims that his magic is so powerful that it cannot be contained so easily within him. Only a few dragons believe him, most of them being gullible fledglings.

Like his siblings, Atlas, Mimas and Yuseong, he was taken in by Pluto at a young age. Raised by such a skilled mage, it was only natural for Hyperion to pick up on his teachings- but was especially quick to learn the more advanced magics at such a young age. Despite his knack for it, however, he doesn't quite understand moderation, and often over-exerts himself quickly.

He's quite vain, a trait Pluto (and many others) hope he'll grow out of. Hyperion feels some jealousy towards Mimas for having the opportunity to attend advanced classes, but isn't too resentful as her skill is with the scholarly topics, not magecraft itself. Still, he feels entitled to join an advanced class as well, but refuses to quit using too much magic all at once just to show off. Perhaps one day he can be as flamboyant as he desires to be without tiring himself.

Despite his flaws, Hyperion can be considerate. He respects others' talents (as long as they don't threaten to 'usurp' him), and applauds them on their achievements. He often encourages his siblings, truly having faith in their abilities. Many of the adults see him as having a bright future as a powerful mage, they only hope he'll learn to calm down, if even a little bit.
