Biography
Snapshot: Obsessive, usually serious while displaying occasional hints of mischief, Whylde hunts knowledge and protects it. He fixates utterly on one thread of knowledge at a time, pursuing it doggedly while eschewing most other things in his life. This has lead him to being familiar with and working for or alongside many of the academic parts of the clan, while making few friends outside of his work. Background: Whylde spent more time with his father than his mother growing up, and more time with his aunt Farrow than both of them. He got used to growing intensely interested in one discipline or another as his grandfather Vivid taught him, before moving on to the next. As Acat's first and eldest child he ended up being something of a prototype of the clan's educational process, learning and growing up in the Frostfound's newly formed culture in the Ice Flight. As an adult, he began accompanying Farrow often, and occasionally studying with Mnemosyne, he developed his own taste for uncovering secrets and knowledge. While he doesn't have a passion for any particular branch of research, he often works with his Aunt to uncover knowledge, traveling far and wide to return with it. While he contributes near religiously to the clan's own growing library, his own personal den is full of carefully preserved records. He returned from a trip to Arcane with a particular trick, and there is an enchanted block of ice that captures his voice, and he often transcribes a great deal of his acquisitions into it. He has a tendency to pay hatchlings to record things while he is away, offering minor trinkets as prizes for dilligence. Goals: Whylde wants to ensure the study, research, and culture of his clan is preserved. And to continually grow it. |
