Biography

Bloodmoon, the Plagued Wanderer

A long, long time ago, a strange child was born to the clan of the Seabreeze Village, a place of the domain of wind set near the sea. The child was born of average size, of average wingspan, of average parents, but what flaws there were.. Felt like a warning. You see, the village of Seabreeze was settled.. A bit closely to the wandering contagion. It was not surprising to find the most ravenous of things closer to the village than desired. Many were worried that the village may one day be consumed by it. Now, when the child was born.. It was covered in many eyes across its body. This was not too much of a big deal to the clan, no no, it was simply interesting. What worried them is that the child was born on a great blood moon, and quickly after the child was born, a spirit of plague sort of.. Attached itself to the child. The child carried a strange aura, and while many cared for it, many rejected it, calling it an omen of the incoming plague. Though, of those who defended and cared for the child, none were greater than Amaryllis, the village's ambassador of the plague flight. Many ridiculed her, saying that she was welcoming the oncoming destruction of the village. But Doctor Amaryllis simply cared for the child as she would her own. In fact, most of her free time was spent caring for them. Soon, though, as the child grew, newcomers arrived to the village. A group of plague flight dragons, many strange in nature. They were led by a man whose skin seemed to shift, as if something was under its surface, a man of strange mannerisms, a pearlcatcher named Lice, with a swarm of insects surrounding him. His group seemed to have a strange relationship with their flight, looking to the Plaguebringer as one would a god.. He said he was drawn here by the child. And that the child would be welcome in their.. Group. Everyone caring for the child, especially Doctor Amaryllis, was on guard upon this group's arrival. But, the plague flight cult was not the only threat to the strange child. A member, who firmly believed that the child would bring about the village's doom, attempted to murder the child, leaving them injured before someone stepped in just in time. Time passed, and the group eventually left the village. The child, however.. Also left. They disappeared completely and without a trace. Many were worried, especially with many dragons dying or departing as of late. Longer and longer time did pass, and this may as well have not been the same village it was when the child was born. Because, even long after the child's departure, the contagion consumed the village. But even then, they found their ways. The plague flight was all about survival, was it not?

But even after so, so long,

the child returned.

The child returned, no longer a child, bandaged, crowned with bones, emblems of the plague flight about him, donning a mask like that of the one who cared so greatly for him, the spirit of plague still with him after all this time. He had accepted his role, born under wind, yet aligned so greatly to the plague. He, who was named after the sky he was born under,

Bloodmoon.
