Safir

For generations the dragons of Safir's lineage have spread far and wide across Sornieth. They include representatives of every breed, have members in every flight, have served every god. Safir herself spent time studying in the Sunbeam Ruins before returning to her homeland to train as a hunter with her great-grandparents Lesapora and Panthera. As a result, she's an eminently capable predator who also sports a wide breadth of knowledge relating to dragonic history, and in particular political history. This makes her a near-perfect partner for Miruvor, the intellectual son and potential heir of the leader of the mirror pack, Thorne--perhaps a little too perfect for Thorne's taste, as together the two of them have begun to tilt the pack away from her uncompromisingly feral ideals. Thorne would love for Safir to outright challenge her so they could fight for supremacy, but so far Safir has been able to hold a middle ground, neither aggressive enough to cause a confrontation nor submissive enough to lose status, and when Thorne pushes her too hard, Miruvor intervenes. This has somewhat threatened Miruvor's relationship with his mother, but she can't deny that out of all of her followers he's still the best second in command and maybe someday leader. Safir is one of the biggest mirrors in the pack, and extremely fit. Though not beautiful--her face is a little too broad and her crest asymmetrical--she has a charismatic presence, and her eyes glint with cool, sharp intelligence. Whereas Miruvor spends a lot of time in his own head, Safir is outward focused, goal oriented, and efficient; she values useful information rather than knowledge for its own sake. The two of them are very well matched both physically and mentally, and they share a progressive viewpoint that values new ideas and openness to dragons outside the pack. Facts – Aside from Thorne, the mirrors of the pack like her reasonably well and consider her trustworthy. Even Miera tolerates her. – For all her no-nonsense air, she adores festivals, and grand spectacles make her as excited as a hatchling. – Safir is 100 percent tone deaf. Sometimes she forgets this. Fictions — Familiar Her ashscale ophiotaurus, Zhaa, is perfectly trained, and although aging, is still formidable. |
