.......Athena was once the ruler of one of the most powerful and influential monarchies in all of Sornieth. However, there came a time when her kingdom's finances became just a little bit too mismanaged, and her subjects broke out into revolt. Her wealth stripped from her and her subjects lacking faith, Athena was forced to go into hiding as one of the peasants that so loathed her. When new rule took hold - as it always does - Athena realized that she would not be able to take her throne back ever again.

.......Though she didn't know it at the time, war soon began to brew. When it finally erupted, most every able dragon was called to join the fight - her included. It was then that she found her enjoyment of, and skill with, fighting. The war was quickly resolved, thankfully, but Athena had realized her true calling and was not going to go back on it. Nowadays, she can usually be found fighting competitively as a gladiator, still keeping her original identity secret for fear of ostracization and exile.
