A talented mage with a knack for both wind and water magic, Fayne prefers to take a slow and steady approach to improving her skills, which has slowed her progress by her own admission but has so far resulted in a greater grasp of what she does know. Her movements when weaving spells have a flow that seems to mimic the elements she excels at and she often uses similar techniques when using incense to ward off evil spirits, which she is occasionally called upon to do when a foolish apprentice has messed with the wrong curse.

Spending her quiet moments writing poetry from the peace of a quiet glade she came across years ago, Fayne finds inspiration and joy in basking in nature, far away from built-up lairs and busy towers full of mages. For the longest time, she kept the knowledge of this peaceful retreat to herself, taking time alone to relax and feel one with the world. She never thought she would one day share this spot with another.

Despite the two of them both spending plenty of time at the Arcania Tower, Fayne first met Seika when the coatl was sent to her to ask a few questions about spirits. Immediately feeling a connection to Seika and her calm demeanour, Fayne found herself sharing more about herself than she normally would have and invited her new friend to her favourite spot before she had even thought about it. Initially worried she had made a huge mistake, the first afternoon they spent in the glade dispelled her fears and she invited Seika several times more, growing to adore the coatl more and more after each moment shared.

Fayne quickly understood that she loved Seika and had a solid feeling it was reciprocated, but she knew the coatl well enough by then to realise it would be a while before anything was said. Rather than wait, the nocturne took the initiative and wrote a poem confessing her love, slipping it into some research papers Seika had mentioned offhandedly earlier in the day. It took her by surprise to later see Seika rush to her side in uncharacteristic haste, admitting her feelings and insisting they spent the rest of the day together.
