Zero

Zero was not the name she was born with; her parents had initially called her Wildflower, but she hated that name and from the moment she was able to understand words, refused to acknowledge it as her name. She didn’t have any other suggestions, so her parents kept using it, until one day, she ran away. Her parents were confused and searched everywhere for her; however, by the time they found her, she was fully grown, and didn’t want anything to do with her parents.

She hadn’t felt attached to her parents; there was no reason behind it, no abuse or neglect. Her parents dearly loved her, but she felt like she couldn't trust them. As soon as she was able to hunt for herself, she made her mind up: she would leave. She couldn't stand to be around them while she felt so different from how they did, and she didn't know how to tell them that. As soon as she left, she began to feel slightly better, but only slightly. She felt like there was something off, but she couldn't put her finger on what. She kept her distance from other dragons, and stayed on the border between the Cloudscape Crags and the Snowsquall Tundra, until one day, she noticed something strange in the sky.
