Cairo is like many others of their kind. Peculiar, mute, and falls into the uncanny valley for most inhabitants of the clan. But Gemmers being an unusual fae to begin with took to Cairo as a much valued friend and companion, even naming them. Gemmers saw a lot of himself in this strange fae. Cairo thus functions similarly to their bretheren, acting as a magical assistant- only this is for a dragon about their same size. While they can't talk back and don't seem to express themselves as readily Gemmers is fine to just bounce ideas off of them and will hold full conversations with them as he would any other. Sometimes Gemmers makes small mistakes, as someone who's basically in charge of the clan most of the time, and most of the time Cairo will notice and fix the mistake before it's ever an issue.

They're quite close.
