Biography

You wake and find yourself in a strange room. The floor seems to be made of glass, but beyond it you can see the deep expanse of space, continuing endlessly onwards. Something huge swims about in the depths of space, and its song shakes the little glass room you're in slightly. Still, you can't seem to feel any fear.
With that same curious lack of strong emotions, your eyes continue to wander around the room, until you notice something - or rather, someone odd leaning against the wall.
You wonder how you hadn't noticed them at first. Besides their strange appearance, the room was rather small and bare of anything besides the two of you, so it wasn't like there was anywhere to hide. You decide to chalk it up to some weird dream thing; since clearly, you're just dreaming right?
They seem to notice your staring, and slowly turn around to face you, revealing a heavily bandaged face that hid their eyes. You were more fascinated by the inside of their cloak, however, and you notice it almost seems to slowly shift colors as you stare. You tear your eyes away from it with difficulty, and look back at their face as they speak without moving their mouth.
"How curious. How did you get into my inner sanctum, mortal? Have I really become that weak?" There was a faint smile on their face despite their words. You found it hard to concentrate on what they were saying, your mind slipping over them without much thought.
"Oh my, tongue-tied over what you're seeing? My sanctuary really is very beautiful, isn't it? You'll never find a place like this for the rest of your lifetime," they continued, gesturing to the space around.
"Where... am I?" you finally found yourself asking. The effort it took to say those words was staggering, and forcing them out made you feel like you'd just ran a marathon. There was a sharp pain in your chest, which felt entirely too real for a dream.
"Don't overexert yourself, mortal. You may not be here physically, but the prescence of a being such as myself is much tougher on your spirit than your body, after all. If you're not careful, you might burn yourself out. That really would be a shame."
Oh...it was so much harder to concentrate on their words now, though you could feel that they were important. You opened your mouth to apologize and ask them to repeat themselves but they brought a finger up to their mouth in a shushing motion, and you felt compelled to listen.
"To answer your question; if you're still able to listen at least...you're in my...ah, I guess you could call it my garden? Even beings like me need moments of rest, after all, even if we can't truly sleep like you mortals. But speaking of sleep...I think it's about time you went back to sleep. I don't think you'll last much longer in my prescence. I may not know how you got past my barriers, but I can at least send you - somewhat intact, back past them. It's been a long time since I've talked to another soul, and while I wish this could last longer, it's time to say goodbye," and with those words, you felt at first something that felt like a pulling sensation, then a sudden fall. Suddenly you were back, safe and warm in your own bed.
As you got ready for your day, you couldn't stop thinking about the strange dream that didn't fade from your head. You couldn't remember much of what they'd said, and you wonder if the shimmer of tears on their cheeks when they bid you goodbye was something you were misremembering too.

-Called the Old Bat by the others because of his grumpy personality. Reincarnation of Seris. Just showed up one day with claims over the emptiness of space.
-Has a cool cloak that he likes pulling things out of that shouldn't fit in there. Has a shortcut to a voidpocket inside his cloak.
-Still remembers his previous life, which is why he avoids Celine. Thinks he'd only be a bother to him, and that Celine wouldn't want to see him again since he's already grieved over and buried Seris once.
-Feels lonely a lot, despite being the one who isolates himself from everyone. Tends to share a little too much info when he finally speaks.
-As the previous God of Stories, he still likes to write them despite his words no longer holding the same weight.
-Reverts to his old personality when talking to Celine, which he tries to avoid, but Celine's curious about him.
-Can't see, possibly due to the way he originally died. Wears bandages to hide what remains of his eyes, but can somewhat "see" with his powers. Also has extremely good hearing. Hence the nickname of "Bat"
-Likes relaxing in his planetarium when feeling anxious or stressed. Anything negative, really. Doesn't do much besides watch the planets spin.
