Biography
In the flesh I am called Ziirylev, but those whose reading carries them so may recognise the hand of Kertoa the Chronicler.
A truly complete biography is a tedious thing, so I shall disclose but the most salient points. I was born to a noble house and as such though my broad education enabled the pursuit of many a study, it was ultimately training for the moment a noble must be thrust into the arena that is the court. Or so was the fear of many a peer.
While I did draw envy and my share of harmless pranks, I evaded any serious plots, so too did I manage to escape entrapment in any scheme, and was able to focus on my passion. I have long held a love to document anything and everything that interests me. When this was discovered, my teacher encouraged it as a potentially useful tool.
Did the boiling pot grow lukewarm? Did I outgrow the nest? Was it never as lively as once believed? Who can say?
Whatever the cause, I came to find court-life tedious, and even humdrum. While there ever was something someone wanted to eavesdrop on, much time passed with nothing but vaporous susurrations. So it came to pass that I decided to depart for demesne's more thrilling to inscribe.
Artio's Roar of the verdant wilds is where I next laired. A chronicler's work deemed akin to that of a mural-maker. I came to know one crafter quite well. No greater victim of the schism, and subsequent clan-sundering, was there than the frescoes and friezes, and their artisans. It seemed pertinent to move on, and sculptor Dagoob had lost any tie he might have had to the place.
I decided to venture to those grounds forbidden to those of noble birth. To those bound by the rules of that clan, which I had not been in some time.
Such a fascinating and mystifying place, the Hewn City is. I was struck with the fancy to own a castle in the place. To write upon a desk of mahogany by candlelight, as the shadows creep and tremble and rain promises thunder. Such a perch! My quill should dance in delight!
Though acquiring a ruin in the first place proved a reasonably simple task, rendering sufficient rooms habitable, and safe from scroll-stealers, proves to be its own challenge. While the renovation work carries on, I have found dwelling with a certain clan that resides not far from the place...
To those concerned with such matters, I have no term of reference to my preference.
