Progenitor of the Clan

A purple fae sits tucked away in a nook, resting high over the main chamber of the lair. He sits, counting, tallying, and making parchment. It’s impressive how quickly he can keep count of all this, in-between gathering sessions. Eventually, he looks up, noticing another’s presence.

“Oh- hello, did you need something? I have another basket I need to get sent off to Crim soon, so please be quick,” he states as he shuffles around treasure. Unbeknownst to him, this visitor is more interesting than the normal stop-by.

The veilspun who has made their way in is Firefly, curious, magical, and a bit nibbly. They tilt their head, watching the tally curiously. “Where are the insects?” They ask, innocently.

Hexa looks up from the counting, properly this time, and looks at Firefly. “Dinner is at sundown, have you been skipping meals? Ashpren makes sure everyone gets their fill.”

“No.” The veilspun states starkly. “I like the crunch.”

“Oh.” Hexa contemplates this. He never quite understood Firefly, but they do good work as a door guard. “Go ask Ashpren. What I have up here is for selling.”

Firefly took one more look around his nook, and then nodded solemnly, slipping away down the wall and across the chamber. He blinked, and then returned to tallying. Crim was looking for something he was sure they had in the hoard somewhere…
