Madness.

I do not need reason to raise my claw and tear with my teeth. The taste of blood is not intoxicating. Yet it is not foul either. It is simply blood, the red, clotting, tangy metallic liquid it is. I do not thirst for it.

I do not love too deeply and I do not hate too strongly. My heart is never mine to begin with, and whatever red string that is tied to my claw is second-hand. The absence of emotion does not make evil, only bone-deep apathy.

I do not understand your pain. I do not understand the struggle of dragons on the verge of death.

The blood I've spilled. Both innocents and criminals I've killed. The lives I should've spared. The mornings when I smile to you just so, and the times when I leave when you scream for help.

Does it drive you mad? The questions you ask and the answers I give to you.
