B I O G R A P H Y

Acolyte, Tinkerer, Robotic Construct.

______ Olympia was originally known as Apollo, back when she was an entirely organic being in a large clan of the Wiretangle Walk. Like others born with primal eyes that crackled with lightning, Apollo was invited to study any trade she chose at the Turrets of Goldensparc. She chose automatons as her area of expertise, having been fascinated with the clockwork contraption toys she played with as a dragonet.

______ After reaching the top of her automaton training at Goldensparc, tragedy struck; a classmate’s shoddy craftsmanship of an electric motor for a large-scale machine short-circuited and exploded, gravely wounding Apollo and sending her to the infirmary in critical condition. She would awaken weeks later to discover that her front limbs had been amputated at the shoulder, and her wings were paralyzed permanently.

______ Not one to let despair overtake her, Apollo immediately turned her skills towards creating prosthetics for herself. By learning to use her hind feet, tail, and mouth to create the intricate clockwork of the prostheses, and with a little outside help, Apollo completed her prototype Stormclaws and regained at least some use of her missing limbs and mangled wings. When that was done, however, she turned her sights away from Goldensparc; she found that traumatic memories followed her within its towers and halls, and decided to leave the Shifting Expanse for good.

______ No sooner had she left, however, when she came across a wandering Fae, Guardian, Ridgeback, and Bogsneak heading into the Expanse. The little Fae took one look at her, called her ‘Olympia’, and suddenly her head was filled not only with formulae and blueprints, but also with song, breeze, and spark all combined together. Without another word, Olympia followed the four and eventually made her home in the Singer’s Brook with the rest of the Acolytes.

______ Today, Olympia is happier than ever; she still mainly uses her hind legs and tail to invent, and her prosthetics require constant upkeep; but in addition to her friends the Acolytes, she also leads and advises the circle of the Museclan’s mechanics and engineers. She maintains her connection to both the Stormcatcher and the Windsinger, and mostly invents new instruments, musical automatons, and prosthetic enhancements for the benefit and entertainment of the clan.
