Not much is known about Rogue, but there are plenty of theories. Brought to the Tabemono by his partner, Sumi, he took on the mysterious new role of the clan's official tracker.

Still, it's whispered that Sumi brought a dangerous criminal into the clan, a dragon wanted in six territories for trespassing and grand theft. No matter how he's petitioned, Rogue won't say a word on the matter. He won't say a word at all, period. Sumi explains that he's been mute since she met him—even she doesn't know his past.

One thing's for sure; he's got a fantastic memory, likely a photographic one. Rogue's grasp of regional landmarks, customs, and loopholes in law make him an ideal bounty hunter and thing-finder. He's so good it's ... almost troubling.

Strange as it seems, the guy enjoys ridiculous reality TV. At least, he seeks it out voluntarily, often joined by Ramu, Milo, and even Citrine. Unlike the others, Rogue doesn't make a single expression the entire time.

When he's not tracking or catching up on Flip That Lair, he's curled up somewhere doing crosswords.

Crisp-leaf Amaranth

Near the center of the Veridian Labyrinth, the flora grows nose-high. Bugs scream and hop from leaf to leaf. Trees limbs overhead creak and the foliage whispers. Mottled patches of light glimmer between the thick swaths of leaves above, but hardly any make it to the packed-dirt floor. Today the forest is cool, misty, and deep green. Rogue's rough paws brush across the fresh fronds, searching. Finding. He nips the ones he wants off their stalks and tucks them into his sack.

A soft hum wanders into his ears, then. Rogue's head shoots up. He falls to a crouch, listening intently. Squinting into the mist, he sees ... a hulking form, crouched over something. Rogue creeps closer. It's another dragon, surrounded by what looks to be an extensive layout of stems arranged in loose piles. As he watches, one of the dragon's chubby pink paws grasps a spring of borge. The claws work away at the stem. Rogue barely hears the sound of its detachment. Borge in hand, the dragon pauses. Rogue stops breathing. He takes another step just as the dragon lays the stalk upon one of the piles.

"Why hello!" Rogue freezes at the sudden outburst. The dragon doesn't so much as turn, just continues speaking. "Care to show yourself?" His muscles tense. He remains quiet. The dragon chuckles. "Alrightie then." Their hum returns.

Rogue's watching their claws again. Their scales' gleam is dull, he notices. They're older. Like him. It is this that leads him, against his better judgement, to slink warily into view.

"Only replenishing some herbs here," the dragon hums, righting a toppled pile of mint with a few swishes of their tail. "Just passing through." Rogue rumbles as if to reply "do as you please." He's amazed they haven't looked up at him yet. He studies their elegantly freckled face. They wear ebony frames with the glass punched out. Behind those, deep violet eyes. Shadow.

He then scrutinizes the spread before them, seeing as he now has a proper view. It's organized by use, he discovers: medicinal plants and seasoning ones. Multipurpose plants have been shrewdly placed between. The dragon has taken care, Rogue notes, to place groups of related herbs closer to one another. There is even a section of useless but colorful blooms—put aside for decorative use, perhaps.

After a minute of staring, Rogue's eyes narrow. Sure enough, his sharp eyes have spotted an error. Thoughtlessly, he reaches out. The dragon's tail smacks his paw in midair.
