Crypt is a retired evil overlord who now runs the library and works as impromptu daycare staff, historian and record keeper.

A harsh youth left him with many scars, which filled his early years with violence and greed. Having had nothing and been even less, he knew only to take at all cost. Soon, he sat upon a hoard of treasure, amids a palace filled with servants, yet forever in conquest of a might so great that none dared to take or leave. Years yawned before him in an empty chase. The past twisted in on itself, with meaningless aquisitions as his discontentment grew with his might. In fear of being crushed, he became the boot stomping down.

Years passed. As his empire stagnated, time and love caught up with him to heal wounds unseen, to take the edges of his fears and disarm his anger.

Today he has a friendly, patient and calm disposition and values the peaceful tranquility of his home most. Although he's relatively young compared to some other clan members, most hatchlings tend to call him gramps due to the role he takes on in their lifes.

Crypt spends his time amids the rustle of parchment in protective shadow, yellowed through time.
He's like the stains of sun on a once indigo rug, much loved, like the smell of dust that creeps over glass, silently. With a trod of well-travelled boots on twilight stairs he brings the echo of many hatchling's feet on worn marble, lurking just around the corner of an old house. Still, there remains a corner where the wallpaper has peeled back, revealing a glimmer of painted metal and aged memories.
