Clytemnestra

Clytemnestra, the pernicious Empress of her Plague clan. While she has no Emperor, Aegisthus seems to be her preferred company- if she prefers anything. Borderline tyrannical and quite short-tempered, her propensity for irritation is matched only by her devotion to the Plaguebringer. Yes, she is one of those cultlike sorts; those who make a show of their piety via praising the 'mother' and condemning all those who oppose her or are simply of a different flight.

Her coloration would almost seem delicate were it not for her monstrous form, bedecked in spikes and ridges with a mouthful of sharp teeth. Her scales and wings are mostly unmarred by wound or blemish, a strange example of purity in such a place. Indeed, only her abysmal demeanor and crimson eyes hearken to the Plague flight. The Empress's ironic visual immaculacy is caused by her preference that others do things for her. Why fight a battle or hunt when so many underlings are there to do it for you, bearing the dirt and scars in your stead? Clytemnestra is not completely lazy, though most of her activity consists of a dedicated pilgrimage to locations of worship for 'Mother', the occasional hunt, or a search for interesting things to add to her hoard.

Most in her clan are quick to listen- if they decline an order, a quick and bloody smack with a few sharp claws is sure to follow. Indeed, more than a few of her followers bear scars caused by their own leader. However, some clanmates follow not out of fear but, rather, awe at her piety.
