Notes:
  • Ragna = Giving advice
  • Came to the Clan during the chaos of a conquest period and was originally just going to get her basic training at the Outpost before moving on to serve the Lightweaver.
  • Somewhere between arriving and before she could be assigned to a training group, however, she got mixed up in the usual Clan hijinks and promptly forgot what had made her want to serve the Lightweaver in the first place.
  • Now, normally she wouldn't have had any issue with continuing upon her decided path anyway - it was what she usually did, when she forgot things. She had to trust in herself and believe that she had had good reasons at the time for choosing whatever she had done. It usually turned out well.
  • This time, though... the dragons of the Outpost were quite clearly insane, and none of them smelled like friends, but... the smelled like safety and joy and home.
  • Ragna didn't remember much, so she didn't know why, but she felt pain and longing when she smelled the smell of home.
  • So she thought it would be okay, just this once, to ignore her previous choice and try to become a part of the wonderful family that the Outpost held. She sought permission to become a Clan member, and upon hearing her motivation, it was granted.
  • Nowadays, Ragna does not remember much of her days before the Outpost, just loneliness and endless wandering, scents blowing by on the wind and never staying. So she is fine with not remembering. All the memories worth keeping are at the Outpost, and as long as she doesn't leave the scents will keep the memories alive for her. And if she forgets details, well, her new family are more than happy to help her.
  • Ragna has settled into an advisory role, for while her memory is as it is, she is still surprisingly insightful and has a rare gift for cutting to the heart of matters, untangling things until they become simple.
  • She got her name from this ability, as she could not remember if she had had one before the Outpost.
  • She often works closely with Alviss, as his memory compensates for hers, and her good sense can reign in his pride and arrogance.
