▾ Petra is a spirit of ignis fatuus, a minor patron of inspiration and guidance. They often take the form of a goose or swan, and their presence is typically heralded by will-o'-wisps. They are said to take interest in pilgrims, especially those in pursuit of earnest self-improvement, to guide and instruct them on their journeys. Petra will typically appear of their own volition when someone peaks their interest, but they can sometimes be summoned by burning cattails and other marsh plants, or by sprinkling salt ahead of your feet when you encounter forks in your path. Petra is mute, and communicates with their chosen pilgrims through the sound of their wing-beats; which resemble wind through dry reeds.
