Biography
Morela
Ginevre was born in a shadow nest in the crook of a treestump like most dragons in a Shadow clan. Unlike most however she exploded her eggshell upon hatching and was found lying in the remains by her parents; looks of horror had been on their faces. It didn’t take the young skydancer long to figure out why they and some of her clanmates gave her disturbed looks. Her dark pink runes that displayed her magic were warped and twisted in jagged spires from her head to her shoulders while the silky fur on her tail tip had hidden spikes of the crystalized magic poking out.
Most of her time was spent alone growing up. Outcast because of the crystals of magic, most assumed she was cursed for one reason or another. Ginevre began to believe she was cursed because of their whispered rumors and ran away before they could drive her out. Alone and barely an adult; the young skydancer wandered through the flights. Over time she became an independent dragon and found her magic attacks were more unique than what had been done to her body. Any magic she used in defense would result in the same crystalized forms upon hitting the target. She didn’t know much about magic but decided to travel to Arcane where she hoped the magic based flight might hold some answers to her strange Shadow magic.
While there the clans she visited would hold experiments- as many Arcane dragons seemed to do- with her powers to test them against other Shadow flight magic. The pink color was closer to the Arcane flight’s own magic aura but the dragons helping her chalked it up to the color of her runes bleeding into her magic rather than another element being in effect. It was good news in the least to know that her life wasn’t in danger from conflicting elemental energies. While no answers came for why this disfigurement had occurred, Ginevre could relax knowing she at least wasn’t cursed by the deities for an unknown reason. However, there was no more to learn soon enough and she knew she couldn’t go back to her birth clan. Crossing Plague didn’t exactly seem pleasant either nor did living in the cold of Ice.
After pondering staying in an Arcane clan, the skydancer eventually went to the quieter life of Earth. The subtle colors weren’t as purple or glowing as Shadow but were at least calmer than the constant shimmering and sparkling crystals of Arcane. Ginevre eventually joined a clan led by two imperials and was accepted as a member of the clan without a single question or suspicious look at her strange form. Life there was nice. She works to decorate the lair with her magic to add light glowing lights from her crystalizing magic in the darker parts of the dens as well as creating landmarks with some of them to break up the otherwise barren landscape… She finally found a way to put this strange ability to use in a home that truly accepted her as she was.
