Biography

"My name is Legion, for we are many."

Legion - a unit of 3,000–6,000 men in the ancient Roman army.

A collection of thousands of minor spirits, phantoms, and ghosts that coalesced into one body. Although they often use plural pronouns, Legion thinks as one individual. If harmed, he will start to fray at the edges, 'bleeding' a few of the many petty creatures that make up the collective. A self-identified “demon” that likes to make themselves sound more impressive than they actually are. Soul energy allows him a massive energy boost, and many of his machinations revolve around acquiring souls. (Most of his power is actually gained by convincing minor energy entities to join his collective) Their ability to speak in multiplicity can give the illusion of a great power, yet in reality he poses a threat to only the least battle-hardened dragons.

An individual that at is very good at first impressions. Their otherworldly look and thrum of magic often have them mistaken for master manipulators. Its only after spending some time with them that you realize how much of a struggle Legion has with his many plots and plans. He will have you convinced of his brilliance up until you find him face down in a mudpit with his pants down and the police surrounding him.

The multitude that makes up Legion creates a mind that is often fragmented and causes them to have off-topic thoughts at the most inopportune times. They are never 100% dedicated to one thought or action, and they always are focusing on more than one thing at once. Makes a very impressive multitasker and sentry, but also leads to a entity with many intrusive thoughts and impulses. Tends to have loose associations. Can be forgetful of the recent present, but his knowledge of (often random) facts exceeds even that of a group of librarians, although access to that information can be patchy. (Legion often experiences the frustrating tip of the tongue phenomenon)

When they have a face, the expressions of Legion are mood-congruent, but tend to be stiff and creepy, causing an uncanny valley effect. (think Sophia the Robot) As such, Legion usually forgoes a face, and instead forms as a masked entity. (He also likes the mask because this gives him an extra air of mystique, and creates a way to identify him even when drastically changing form....in fact, they often forget to not manifest it when going incognito >__>) His favorite form is that of solid mask and feet, leaving the rest to be partially ephemeral. The glittering silks, flowing fur, and glassy chitin that make up his form are the half-baked manifestations of pure energy.

Before Legion there was Skar. A powerful warlock who decided to coalesce a multitude of low level spirits into one source of energy. Skar grafted this power into his soul to grant him a massive amount of energy and the keys to immortality. This worked, but unfortunately the excess energy tore at his body and the gibbering plethora his mind. He was driven mad, unstable, and insensate. Only after many years did things stabilize and a new creature was formed, calling itself Legion. Skar's soul formed the nidus for Legion, but they are now drastically deviated from their origins.

Legion can take the form of a fully physical dragon. They find it unpleasantly restrictive. Their most common dragonform seen below. The shimmering energies that race across their form make it very difficult for Legion to be inconspicuous. Although they brag about being a shapeshiter, Legion has a difficult time diverting from his most common forms. Holding his energy so that it does not skirt across his skin is painful, creating a form that is not similar to a wildclaw is a strain, and manifesting a face that does not dip waaay far into the uncanny valley with any expression is almost impossible for him.

Will often wear clothes and a cloak to help disguise self

Legion's lofty goals of disguise. Also, unbeknownst to Legion, the physical form of the late Skar.
