Tarin

A fairly new initiate into the Order of Seekers, Tarin was born among the newest generation of Gaolers within the Shifting Expanse. It's a fairly recent development for Gaolers to be born outside of the cold climes of the Southern Icefields, but if they are to hunt down any remaining Shade creatures across Sornieth, they need to learn to adapt and expand beyond those borders.

Being of the Lightning element has afforded this Gaoler with a coat much more suited to the arid weather of the Expanse, allowing him to roam and burrow with relative ease. Like a Guardian in search of its Charge, Tarin set out on his mission, searching for any sign of the Shade in these lands. As he approached the Canyon, he felt an ominous presence. Unable to pinpoint where is was coming from, he roamed along the edge of the Canyon and investigated any subterranean tunnels he came across without much luck. Eventually he bumped into a rather large, glowing dragon in these tunnels, leisurely humming a tune to himself as he clawed at the rocks ahead. After initially being startled by another dragon in his burrow, the Ridgeback introduced himself as Onyx. He supposedly hailed from a lair fairly close by, and wasn't opposed to Tarin joining him on the way back, but it was made clear that it wasn't really up to Onyx how welcomed a new dragon would be.

As Tarin moved closer to the lair, a lot more educated on various rocks thanks to Onyx, his hackles raised up. This was definitely where that ominous feeling was coming from. But everything at the lair seemed...relatively innocent, at least with regard to the Shade. But for some reason, he couldn't shake that feeling every time he looked at a certain young Wildclaw. But despite his suspicions, he could never get close to the kid. The Guardian clan leader was always very protective of him and would shoot a menacing glare Tarin's way whenever he dared give 'Toto' a suspicious look.

Tarin had no proof, and the Wildclaw hadn't done anything menacing in the slightest. Yet. But if the clan allowed him to stay, he would carve himself out a little nook in this lair to make sure nothing went awry.
