Firefly spent many years trying to live up to the expectations of her parents and birth clan, but she had trouble identifying with what they wanted from her and the overall goals of the clan. After a serious falling out with her clan she decided she couldn't be what they wanted and that she would find somewhere she could be accepted. She left her clan and eventually she left the Sunbeam Ruins entirely. She was scared and uncertain, but eventually found a friend on her travels that seemed to understand her plight, a fae dragon named Flamenca. The two became partners and traveling companions, but while Flamenca had little interest in being a permanent fixture of anything, Firefly wanted to belong to something. When the companions found themselves performing in the Tangled Wood they encountered a shadow dragon named Roshan, and he told them of his clan, the Clan Misfortune. Though still unsure, Firefly liked the sound of this clan, their willingness to accept others no matter their backgrounds or natures. To her surprise even Flamenca seemed interested, and so the two firends went to see this clan, and they have both been members ever since.

While she can be a bit nervous and shy sometimes, especially among strangers and in new situations, Firefly is exceptionally kind and sweet and will do her best to bring a smile to the faces of those around her. She has a general love of life and those that live it. She has a great desire for companionship and is not a dragon that can be left alone for long, she is prone to meloncholy and lonliness, but in the company of a close-knit clan she is full joy and good cheer.
