Biography

B A ' A L
- the guardian -

Second of their Father's creations, Ba'al was summoned into reality moments after the First. He would be her protector; the one to watch over First while she devoted herself to the rest to follow and the world full of precious life their Father had created below on the earthly realm. He was created as a Protector and guide to their Father's angelic creations.

Despite her gifts, Akilah cared little for His creations, choosing instead to follow the path of intellect and knowledge, her insatiable curiosity delving deep into the archives for answers that perhaps did not even exist. And yet still by her side he remained, a steadfast companion.

Soon after their creation came others. Siblings Akilah was to be charged with protecting- though truly, it were more likely the role would fall to Ba'al. Though his charge was warm, she was too distant, too far away for them to reach. And so he greeted them as they appeared.

First came the Twins. Desta and Jabez shared a single soul that split apart while they took the forms of the humans their Father had created. It left them with distinctly different personalities that only settled while they were combined into their True Form. Mischievous, daring, sometimes bordering on dismissive, their bright spark brought life into the heavens, lifting those who heard their voices and bringing smiles and joy to their siblings.

Isaac arrived with little fanfare, his hair gathered at his nape as he accepted Ba'al's hand to stand. Quiet and unassuming, he watched his siblings with a quiet fondness, often found reading in their Father's gardens. Ba'al wondered for him, sensing some shadow had come into life with him. Nonetheless, he was a gentle soul, one who was content to tend to gardens and read books without interruption.

The last of their kind, the youngest, was Khoshekh. He shook loose the stars that gathered upon his brow and wings and stood tall, marked in ways the others did not recognize. Strange patterns of tattoo decorated his flesh, his eyes a hue unfamiliar to his siblings', marking him different. Ba'al shuddered every time he met the Youngest. There was a warning in his eyes, a threat of thunder on the horizon that sent a prickle down his spine every time he was near Youngest.

Of course, there came others after. But they were many, many years after the First had come. Different. Not as close as the First had become with their Father's absence. Cael. Gabriel. Amiya. Many names, and many faces to follow, but none were the same as the First. None held the power of Archangel as the First did, and none dared question the First as the first signs of thunder stirred on the horizon.

_____

Things changed after Adam and Eve.

They were Nephilim, created from what would become Humanity, and Angelic Grace. Two things that their Father was deeply interested in examining with the eyes of a scientist. Eve's rejection of Adam came as a suprise to all who were witness, but Adam's rage and betrayel turned his soul to darkness, his grace warping as he became the first to Fall.

Their Father retreated for a time, none but Akilah able to reach him with her call. The First of the Archangels she was, but even with her grace their Father was nearly beyond reach. It was mere coincidence that she stumbled upon the truth- their Father was a mad God, one who would seek to destroy all he had Created.

Horrified, Akilah broke from their paradise, her wings carrying her as swiftly as she was able to Ba'al. Surely he would know what to do?

But how could they stand against their Father? Their Creator?
