Bud

Bud specializes in....unconventional ingestable things. He considers himself bit of a pioneer, a researcher if you will, in the area of things that are not meant to be eaten, breathed, touched, ect. He wants to know what makes something unconsumable and what he can do to change that, or what other ways there are to ingest something. He wants to experience the claimed effects for himself to see if they really are what he's been told or see how he can alter them.

Apparently Bud is indestructible because the amount of times he's ended up nearly dead because he ate some weird plant is far beyond counting. Gerda finds him amusing and useful for her own studies, his trips to the medical wing have resulted in the discovery of at least one useful potential treatment. At the very least they're good practice for the possibility of some hatchling or a dragon even dumber than Bud coming in with similar symptoms.

On the rare occasion he discovers a plant, bug, or any substance with unusual but not life threatening effects he will store it away to study it further. He adjusts and refines to better enhance whatever effect he's discovered and will breed these perfected specimens for his own personal use. He will share important discoveries with the clan, he discovered and refined the clan's current strain of headache medication, but more often than not he will simply hide away in his cave to "test" whatever strain he's currently working on.
