Part Two; his story
Orion is a boy born of fog, he is a living entity created and raised by the forest guardian, his swirling purple body attracts the mist that hangs low to the ground. As a child he would watch the princess play fight with sticks and branches. He became dependent on the few hours a day as it distracted him from the pain. His body has issues, he feels as if he is falling apart every moment. But for some reason he felt whole when she was near, he felt as if he could leave the forest and be more; maybe he could appear normal? His father noticed this. He said that a soul mate could be the reason for this. That possibly she would be the answer to their problems. Then one day the girls parents came to him, begging for their kingdom’s sake. A plague had rip through their land and sickness had befallen their people. That was when the deal was stuck, and for the sake of those dependent on them they traded the life of their daughter. |

Today was the promised day, she would come and he could be happy. Right? He could finally stop hurting. He leaned his head against the trunk of a golden leafed tree. “She'll come right?” Closing his eyes he fell asleep. He awoke to a curse, quickly hiding himself, he sees the princess as she walks into a tree. “How can anyone see in this damn fog?!” He chuckles lightly and decides to approach her.
Part 3; their story
He walks up to her, timid in movement like approaching an injured animal. Gently he spoke "Princess?" Her attempt to be intimidating earning an amused laugh "Are you ok?" She flings her body around, glaring as she looks down a shaking blade at him "Who are you?" she growled moonlight cascading off her amethyst body setting ethereal flames to the marking weaving her body, he'd be blind not to admit her beauty. He raises his palms as if speaking to an upset child "Woah woah," he steps back from the knife nearly set on his throat casting it a curious glance before continuing "I'm just a resident of this forest, what are you doing with a knife?” he says rather harshly as it still trembled in her grasp. “I'm going to kill the demon that resides here and free my people!” It took a moment to realizes she meant Adrian, "D-Demon." He starts laughing "He is no demon, just an old Skydancer.” he laughed warmingly at the thought that the weird dragon who raised him could be anything but himself. “You. You know this monster?!” she practically hissed gaining a glowering look from Orion ”The only monsters I know of are the royal who would sale their prized child for a simple spell.” She Froze before him and the malice in his words “And now you, for intending to kill an old mage that would treat you as his own.” She stumbles back dropping the knife, before growling “You are a disgusting dragon, just like that demon.” He stood fully no longer worried about terrifying the girl “And here I thought you were this beautiful kind angel, but it seems you are as vile as those others. You will leave these woods or I'll kill you.” He turn to face to full moon refusing to look at her face as his view of her crumbles “Begone. I don't want you here any longer.?” “You didn't summon me here idiot! That mons-” The mist vibrates around them “Call my father that one more time and I'll end you." His voice echos in the now silent world. “You deserve to die…” her slight words sound like sandpaper on his ears, the moment before this whistling reached him. He had no time to look up let alone go completely incorporeal before several arrows sink into his back and neck. Despite himself, he fell stirring leaves in the process. He could only watch as Cantabil follows after them "No... They wouldn't have fired if they were your knights... They'd never put you in danger like that..." His shouts die in his throat, she won't hear him.
"Orion!" The blue skydancer rushes to him as he stood, shaking ever so slightly, reaching up an snatching an arrow from his shoulder. "I'm fine." He huffs as Adrian sighs "You're not, but lets get you home." "No, if anything happens to her they will come after you." He glares at the skydancer "They will anyway." Orion frowns at Adrian's comment "But not today. We need to go after them." Adrian gets a sly smile "Oh, I see. Even after all the things you just said, you are still head over heels for her." Orion sputters as pink dusts his face "Adrian. I swear this is not a time for your jokes." Adrian grins "But it's not one. You are so in love that you are attempting to run after her with six arrows stuck in your hide." At the mention of the arrows he realized just how much pain he was in; he could barely stand. "What is your suggestion then, oh master of wisdom." Adrian rolled his eyes at Orion "First we are going to the den, I will heal you there. I also have a gift for you that you will use tonight. Then when I am satisfied with your state we will go save your love intrest because you are horrid at romance." Orion gives him a funny look "Love interest? Where do you keep getting those corny romance novels from, I swear to the stars."

What seemed to be a camp was up in flames, bodies littered the ground before he stood a green seemingly glowing skydancer, his hand hovering over her head, he smiles down at her “Heil ok sæl.” “Wha..” She swallows roughly. “Do not try to speak yet, the binding spell was powerful. I have only just broke it.” “What did…. You.. Say?” He seemed surprised for a moment “Oh I keep forgetting you do not understand me like Orion. It was just a greeting child.” his voice is warm. “Whose Orion?” “The one that you called names and tried to get killed.” She instantly felt terrible as the imperial from before approached them in light armor covered in blood. “I'm Orion, princess. Now let's take you home, so that I don't have to look at you anymore.” “Ori, be nice to her. She does help you.” “And aspirate me.” he mutters “Ori?” He cuts his eyes to her “I'll kill you.” The skydancer laughs “You're flirting wrong Ori, you have to be nice to her.” “Adrian, I'll stab you too.” The skydancer laughs joyfully, his laugher is infectious until he falls silent. The three stared in shock at the old forest alight in flames. “It's…” Cantabil starts “It's fine” Adrian smile at the two, “it was time for change anyway. Let's go.” And they unwilling set off.
