first gen1 i hatched. i joined in 2013. About time tbh

xmas eve and NoN baby!

The Unwanted:

* hatched overnight next to Azaizil. The latter had snuck the egg out of the treasury to add it to a fower arrangement he was making for Fleur.
* azaizil swore he was going to return the egg the next day but couldnt for obvious reasons.
* the newborn hatchling quickly made its presence known to the spiral and started identifying him as its parent, much to azaizil's horror and dismay. Emperor was out of town on a trip when this happened.
* azaizil managed to keep the hatchling hidden for less than 24 hours. Joanna, umbra and Anastasia helped him keep it fed but the noisy and nosey guardian unwittingly snuck away and stumbled right in between Chogan, Serenia and Sirriah as they were welcoming Emperor from his trip. The two imperials had wisely snuck away during the ensuing awkward silence as the two clan founders stared at the newcomer and a good chunk of Serenia's Favorites burst into the chambers.
* He was named by Umbra after his first word ("Egg")
* While azaizil is a caring dragon, he is still too self-centered to be a proper father. This doesn't stop Eggburt from craving his father's attention. Emperor, having sons of his own, tries to make up for this and get the two dragons together. Eggburt and the imperial are thus pretty close, with Eggburt taking up an interest in the clan's guard duty as a result. He is now a fledgling guard, in charge of patrolling the interior clan hub, mainly to give him some experience and keep him out of Serenia's scales.
* Eggburt refers to Emperor as "Sir" when on duty but goes back to uncle when off.
