Can you see up? Can you see down?

Can you see the dead things all over town?'

No one actually knows when Mockingbird joined the Clan of the High Seas, but no one's brave enough to question it. Mockingbird rarely talks, and when she does its in vaguely threatening verse. The bones hanging from her wings and cape aren't from any creature they know of, and she's been caught talking in a tongue unlike any in the clan have ever heard.

Mockingbird's entire appearance gives off one of two things, the first being she is from anywhere but Sornieth, and the second being she could take on anyone and win.

While Mockingbird's egg was stolen from a Sornieth nest, she grew up somewhere much different. Her childhood memories consist mostly of faceless shadows and large amounts of fire. When she turned 8, a young guardian stumbled upon the island during it's search and chose her as it's charge.

The shadows weren't willing to let her go without a fight, and the guardian was forced to fight for Mockingbird's freedom. It sustained several serious, though not life threatening injuries. After rescuing Mockingbird from the island the two traveled together, Mockingbird mimicking the guardians every move. Unlike some dragons who find Guardians antics annoying, Mockingbird clung to the guardian like her life depended on it, never traveling more than several meters from the mighty beast.

After several years of companionship the guardian fell ill with a mysterious sickness, and for a time it was Mockingbird protecting her rescuer, though without proper medical training and no clan nearby the guardian succumbed to the eternal sleep.

For months after the Guardian's death Mockingbird refused to speak, and nightmares in her sleep showed nothing but death. Soon after she stopped sleeping as well, though it did little to nothing as the corpses showed up during her waking hours as well.

Mockingbird eventually slipped into a clan quietly so she'd have some way of telling what was there and what was not. The dragons around her seem scared of her, yes, but that doesn't bother her. Unbeknownst to them they have provided a safe haven for the torn apart young nocturne.

Her visions haven't slowed or stopped, but Mockingbird takes what she can get. She takes a certain comfort in the fact that even if they won't stop, she can at least verify if the terror is there or not. She knows the other dragons avoid her, but that doesn't bother her. She prefers to keep to herself anyway, and she figures that as long as she doesn't cause any problems they'll allow her to stay.
