Their parents had tutored them well, teaching them everything they could possibly ever want or need to know. They welcomed this knowledge with open arms! Alongside their brother, they were eager to learn as much as they could. Sadly, not everything went according to plan. Their recklessness as a child had led them and their little brother Cam onto dangerous turf while out playing. A gang member dragon attacked them, and managed to grab Cam before running off to avoid being seen. Peyton tried their hardest to stop it, but their brother was gone. They weren't fast enough to save him. Peyton continued to study as hard as they could in memory of their brother, who they knew they might never see again. They even helped to tutor other hatchlings, including their new best friend Courtney and her twin brother Tyler! In fact, they helped Courtney with quite a lot of things. When she overworked herself trying to take care of Riley, Peyton took over for a few minutes so she could rest. When things got rough between Courtney and Tyler, Peyton was there to offer some semblance of comfort. You could say Courtney was almost like a sister to them... Tyler, on the other hand, was by no means their brother. The two used to be quite good friends when they were younger! They helped each other figure out their true identities... But as time went on, Tyler became more arrogant and rude to not only them, but his whole family. He bullied Riley for seemingly no reason, he never stopped to help Courtney when she was clearly struggling... And he told Peyton they were worthless. Soon enough, after Riley went missing, he abandoned the family altogether. Peyton was all Courtney had left. Peyton stuck with Courtney no matter what. They were practically inseparable! They grew up together, and they still live together to this very day. And while Tyler has shown up again recently, partly thanks to Peyton's own doing, they make sure to keep an eye on him and never let him get too close. They put on a front as if they loathe him entirely, but deep down they just want things to be alright again... But hey, until that happens, they can count on their drinks to help them pretend that everything's alright! |
