The Watcher

As the Night-Watchman, Kvatch keeps the outpost safe while the diurnal dragons sleep. His serious and eerie demeanour can be quite off putting to some. He doesn't speak much, preferring to instead listen. When he does speak, he chooses his words carefully and with meaning. In his free time, he meditates or spends it with his son, Rhys.
Not much is known about his past. He was offered a position at Outpost Toast as a Night-Watchman because of his odd nocturnal habits and natural affinity for magic. It was here that he met his future mate, Andromeda, and they soon had a son, Rhys.

Spells are his forte - able to cast quickly and efficiently with devastating precision. Glory and Neptune have taught him how to fight unarmed, making him a threat even when his mana is depleted. He walks without making a sound which perfects his shadowy appearance.

Kvatch holds little interest in science but is curious about Rhys' work and will listen intently when his son is passionately explaining his latest project. He shares a lair with his mate, which makes it all that much harder to find. His fellow dragons, with some exceptions, give him a wide berth because of his reclusive personality and spooky appearance. Some have gone so far as to tell scary stories involving him to frighten hatchlings. Although this has no affect on Gloom, who trusts Kvatch.
