Fire on fire, blazing desire,
follow your heart, and climb your own spire.... There are some who say life cannot exist outside the reach of the Deities, the great beings who created the dragons in their own image. However, this is wrong- life does exist elsewhere, and they can merge if they so choose. Although, truthfully, it isn't always a choice. Stars shine brightly down on the Tangled Wood as something bursts from the sky, covered in white-hot fire and careening towards the pines. With a strangely soft crash, the thing lands in a field of mushrooms, the flames protecting it dissipating in an instant. The newly revealed creature blinks open its jet-black eyes, taking in its surroundings. As it notes its new situation, its body shifts and morphs into something akin to one of the resident beast species. Feathers grow over what once was rock-hard scales, appendage count decreasing to a measly eight. The blanketing magic of the area absorbs into its skin and manifests through its eyes, a glint of purple among an abyss of midnight. Satisfied with its new form, it uses a combination of waddling and slithering to explore, seeking out a home.
