Dragon Log

The boyhood friend of the rambunctious daughter of Moonshadow and Sunfire, he has never forgotten his early days as Moonshadow's fourth hatchling--though he is also fiercely loyal to his birthparents, Spellweaver and Nimby. Perhaps one day he will officially become a member of the Tundra family, as all three daughters intrigue him. For the moment, however, he is too busy trying to figure out what aspect of magical study he will take on.... and is finding himself more and more drawn to the Alchemists of the clan. Perhaps he will balk tradition, and take an occupation--and name--different from the other Spirals? Or perhaps this is just a fad, after all. Time will tell....

10-7-14: His life-long companion, the Emerald Webwing, has finally awakened! A gift from Moonshadow's daughter, the lightning-oriented bird has never been far from his side... and this Spiral is thrilled to see the glow of happiness within his companion.

10-19-14: Now that the Webwing is older, he wishes to branch out a bit further on his explorations. His Spiral companion wishes him well, and is eager to get to know his new companion, a Swallowtail Buttersnake...though he hopes that the name is not literal. It would not be easy to constantly prevent his friend from swallowing his own tail--or someone else's.

1-16-15: The Swallowtail Buttersnake has managed to Awaken without swallowing any tails... and his Spiral friend is relieved at both facts. Perhaps now their friendship will grow even deeper....

1-22-15: While exploring the caves, the Swallowtail Buttersnake found an Emerald Cave Jewel resting in the hoard. A little coaxing and prodding led the lizard-like creature to the Spiral's side... and now he has a new friend!

4-22-15: The Emerald Cave Jewel has Awakened! He is practically glowing with happiness--and that glow is getting brighter....

8-15-17: The rash of bonding familiars continues to sweep the lair...and now it is this Spiral caught up in the odd phenomenon. A Butter Caiman has been desperately trying to bond with a number of different dragons, and tried his luck with this one. Unfortunately, the bonding did not work out....but the Peacock Firebird who flew over to see what all the fuss was about was another matter altogether. The Spiral and the Phoenix took one look at each other...and that was that!

Riddle, the nasty Mirror, is not at all happy with this development, as he had had his eye on that particular familiar himself, and had even planned to name it "Lucius," of all things. The rare Water-Elemental Firebird, however, is quite happy, and made it very clear to Riddle it wanted nothing to do with him by blasting him with a wave of hot water. This intrigued the entire Clan, as no one had known that it was possible for Phoenixes to be anything but Light and Fire, and now the "new" familiar has become the talk of the lair....

11-14-17: Oceania has Awakened! Her Spiral companion is happy for her, and relieved that the bonding is now complete. The likelihood of Riddle stealing her from him now is extremely low--especially since the Clan Mother, Duskshadow, has begun to take steps to ensure that the nasty Mirror will not be able to play quite so many of his "games" any longer. At any rate, the Peacock Firebird is quite content, and beginning to show this Spiral all sorts of interesting pieces of magic...
