What happens when egg thieves lose an egg or two?
Asier is proof of that. He was pillaged from the Light Flight and brought to the Wasteland, where his captors knew they could make business there. He was traded to a group of Serthis, willing to strengthen themselves against their weak element. However, he was a hatchling, he couldn't handle that. He died. His body was ditched in the Wyrmwound, a far from proper burial.
His corpse floated all the way to where the Plaguebringer reigns. Although she thought it normal, a mage working under her service thought it unfair. And so, she brought Asier back to life, in a sorts, and sent him off. He had no memory of what happened, but he was corrupted by the incident. He has a connection with death still, like its gripping and enveloping him, but he thinks of it as a special talent.
He was still a hatchling after all this, and therefore needed a place to stay. He found a group of hatchlings while he was traveling and followed them home, although their home turned out to be a Clan. There, he was cared for and raised.
A great fear of the Serthis keeps him inside the Clan, but he's happy to help entertain the hatchlings and do other tasks.
