OOOIf there's one way to describe Myr, from their personality to their tone, it's "dry." Introverted, reserved, and serious, Myr hardly seems like the sort to be living at a candy store, much less be so intrinsically bound to one as their Charge. Their sense of humor is nigh nonexistent, and even looking back to their hatchling days doesn't seem to involve any recollection of a time when they possessed "childlike wonder." The most whimsy or even emotion one could expect from Myr is the occasional bout of humming, or even under-their-breath singing when preoccupied. They're actually oddly enthusiastic about music, occasionally musing about the newest thing they've heard on the shop radio and such. It certainly explains why they enjoy Jarah and Valeria's company beyond the couple owning and working at their Charge, but it does nothing to aid their monotony.
OOOIt does make sense to customers after dark, though. The Venomspitter's disposition is well-suited for Jarah's hobby in poison-making, which Myr gladly assists with and often leads sales on. They can easily scare away unsavory crowds with their demeanor, leaving only customers with some sort of pest problem or the like. Jokes about the irony of the two businesses are constantly lost on the Guardian, though confident chuckles fading into awkward, anxious ones at Myr's unwavering stoicism tend to clue them into a missed joke. Not that they particularly care, though. OOOThe only friends that count to Myr are the ones who can appreciate them without expecting any sort of dramatic reactions or words. Myr's got plenty to say on their own time, and, even if they're short of being a 'good' storyteller, they hope dragons will at least take the time to listen. After all, that's something Myr's awful good at themself. |
