Biography
Carmilla the Risen
Profession : Magic researcher
Fighting capability : Mix ranged mage
Origins : Greatwyrm's Breach
A vampire who came back from her crystalbound tomb. A quake opened her resting place and awoke her from her slumber. She left the ravine to meet the starry skies, making ribbon patterns in the sky as she flew, finally seeing the stars and not representations in the quartz sparkles.
As a mortal she was part of a small earth tribe, but she was tired of always tired of her routine, of living like her ancestors did in the past, of barely moving on in this lonely place. She left to find more knowledge of the world and the other flight andcame back with a great amount of new things for the tribe to marvel at, but all it did was make them wary of her and her new ways. She also bought a tome she didn't show them and taught herself about the arcane. She made those trips several times and quickly got better at mastering magics.
One day, she stayed hidden for a week in her crystaline hideout and came back changed. She found an old scroll about conditionnal immortality and dabbled into it, before getting engrossed and finalizing the last steps of the procedure. She didn't feel the exhaustion that came after a week of studying, she felt more comfortable in the dark, but she had a strange thirst. She isolated herself for a few more day, during that time she realized that plants and insects were inedible for her and the thirst was greater, yet the pure source water couldn't quench it. She came back to her clan, seeking for help but came back to glares and whispers. The oracle saw through her, that the magic that lead her to her transformation tricked her. The chief, the oracle and two other dragons of the tribe travelled to her hideoutand found an odd circle with trenches and holes that contained an ungodly amount of blood, an amount that would kill a dragon the size of Carmilla. Carmilla finally realized what happened, she stepped in, but she could not argue, the tribe was displeased with her already, and her using dark magic was the last straw. The two dragons held Carmilla down as the oracle held her prisonner with her own magic. They left after entombing in her secret place, where she could only watch the glimmer of the quartz like she gazed at the sky, then the hunger came back, then darkness soon engulfed her own being and she lost her self.
Carmilla wondered how much decades, maybe centuries had passed since her second passing. She landed under the moon and thought about her archaic tribe, if they were still living the same way, if living at all. But she was free and that was what was important. Soon, though, the thirst came back after the hibernation, and she set off to hunt big enough creatures that she could feed on.
