Biography
Contaminated Warrior
Born of two gladiators, her smiles are all teeth and her eyes sometimes hold an unsettling glint to them. At first Udiya was wary of the water, but quickly grew to love it; she took much longer to warm up to the other dragons of the clan.
Despite her father and lifemate sharing an element and eye color, she could never mistake either of Mohan's eyes for Flamewar's. Her memories of her father's lone eye consist of fury and hatred, and the primal knowledge that if he had had his way she and her nestmates would have been destroyed. Mohan's eyes, she knows, are what a dragon born of Wind should contain: adventure, playfulness, curiosity...
Freedom.
It was torn from him long ago, and though her early days were spent in fear of her parents she has had occasion to see them again, in passing. She's plucked up a sister, then a brother, from that life, and it is the hardest and easiest thing she has ever done. Udiya pities her mother, the broken marionette who hangs limply in chains. Ariel, who would sooner tear out herher siblings throat than lay eyes on her.
She cannot pity her father. Something about Flamewar precludes that, and she knows he would not want pity from anyone. Instead, as she grew as a dragon and a warrior, she's come to view his tenacity and unwillingness to be broken as something worth the deepest respect.
