History Infernus is perhaps less draconic than his appearance might lead you to believe. He is, by his own description, a type of elemental fire wraith that has taken up the form of a dragon. It appears that he was born from the Molten Scar in the Flamecaller's domain. But this was in ancient times, and for countless generations he was dormant in the Ashfall Waste until a small group of dragons happened to start building a lair right on top of where he was slumbering. Infernus scared them half to death, but in his own defense he was very startled and also a fire wraith. Now that he was awakened, however, he began traveling and gradually adopted the shape of a coatl, such that he might stand out less among dragon clans. Infernus met Clan Vanguard by chance when they themselves were in the process of migrating to a new home, and oddly charmed by them, he joined their ranks. Though some are wary of him, he's done much to help the Clan; he is fascinated by the idea of food and takes up food preparation with a sort of reckless enthusiasm, especially when cooking is involved. During the crisis in Cairnstone Rest, he taught the Clan how to find mana-heavy rocks and consume those minerals to survive. When they fled to the Southern Icefield, Infernus happily evolved his cooking stove into a massive furnace capable of heating the whole lair to a more comfortable temperature. Like it or not, he is one of the main reasons that Clan Vanguard endures to this day; their leader, Lavellan, would kill anyone who dared to drive the fire wraith out.
