___azazel stands watch over the clan burial grounds, warding off grave robbers or those who would otherwise wish to disturb the dead. dragons with ill intent may find themselves among the bones that Azazel so diligently guards - even reuben, the clan leader, dares not disrespect the sanctity of the tombs.

___it's customary to bring an offering to azazel before a burial (partially to ensure the protection of the deceased, and partially to make sure he doesn't eat you.) even the smallest slight is enough to incur the imperial's wrath.

___azazel himself comes from a bloodline stained by darkness. some shade-twisted, others with the power to see between the veil of the living and the dead - his grandmother was even thought to posess the ability to bring back the dead. this does not stop him from viewing most of his family (and all dragons in general) with contempt, believing himself to be above such trivialities. no one knows if azazel shares these abilities but he is arguably formidable enough without them.

___his home lays within the deep, dark and winding catacombs (x) buried beneath the grounds - where the oldest bones of long forgotten dragons rest. there are always rumors - some say a mountain of gold lies at the end of the maze-like corridors, others say a great evil is locked away somewhere in the shadows, whispering to be let out. no trespasser has lived long enough to find out.
