Biography
"You're not really planning on flying through that, right?"
"Yes, I am, and it's settled. Stop trying to change my mind." Kerono sighed and dragged a paw across his snout. "I get that you worry, Jediar, but I'm not going to get another chance. It's either go tonight, or don't go at all."
The Fae huffed but kept his follow-up to himself. Instead, he fluttered from his perch atop the Imperial's antlers to the nearest tree and tucked himself amongst the cherries. "You have everything you need? There aren't many stop-overs where you're going."
"I do. I'll be fine. You worry about yourself, yeah?"
"Yeah... Fly well, Kerono."
----
The storm was anything but kind.
Lightning crackled, singeing his wingtip and blinding him. He dropped, a starry stone in the ever darkening clouds, before managing to wrench his wings back open. The rain lashed from every direction as he flew, as if trying to drown him and shear the scales from his body in one move. Kerono strained on, completely disoriented but without a better option.
He burst through a cloudwall into complete silence.
Here, in the middle of the tempest, was a sphere of untouched air. No rain, no clouds, not even the roll of the thunder. It was still and dark, lit only by the nearby trails of lightning.
He almost missed the dragon spiraling lazily in the center.
She was completely at ease; eyes closed, tail relaxed.
Her wings flashed with inner magic.
"Welcome, Kerono."
The goddess cracked a smile and laughed.
"You look confused."
