Biography
Veryn is the original partner to the leader of the clan. Kyahel and Veryn have a long history together, as they founded the clan and took in dragons of all backgrounds and flights over many years. Although they worked well together as leaders and negotiators, thier personal lives were another story. Constant disagreements caused a sense of unease to be ever present in the clan's headquarters, until the pair decided to part ways for the sake of the clan.
Veryn spent many years travelling across the Sornieth, serving in various capacities as an exalted servant to Flamecaller, but always keeping a watchful eye on the progress of Kyahel's clan. Being a powerful user of magic, she briefly returned as a reincarnated version of herself in a temporary imperial form, a painful and laborious process that took weeks to achieve to a believable standard. In her new form she posed as a weary traveler looking to rest with a friendly clan, putting Kyahel's judgement to the test. Kyahel couldn't help but be drawn to the stranger, knowing there was something familiar about her that he couldn't quite put his claw on. After a few months of quietly observing how Kyahel commanded his now large and thriving clan, Veryn decided to reveal herself to him, stating she wished to once again rejoin him, even if it meant forfeiting any position of authority she may have held before her departure. Admitting he had a sneaking suspicion there was something unusual about the imperial, Kyahel permitted her to rejoin, and pondered how to explain the whole situation to the clan, knowing his assistant Ariat would be very wary of the whole situation as the clan's ever-present voice of caution.
To make the introduction easier on the newer members of the clan, Veryn discarded the imperial disguise they had gotten to know over the past few weeks since her arrival, and re-invent herself completely as a skydancer.
Veryn plans on staying with Kyahel, her long suppressed feelings for him growing stronger with each day she spends quietly by his side.
