Kyahel
Head of Clan • The Board of Elders

A wise and courteous leader, Kyahel has worked hard to raise his clan from humble beginnings to where it is now. Highly respected by the clan's council made up of flight ambassadors, Kyahel gets the final word on any decision that is to be made for the good of the clan. The scent of smoke and burning embers lingers on Kyahel's fur from his days mining for precious gems, and later from his time spent forgeing protective gear for his comrades. With wings like toughened leather, Kyahel has a large wingspan that he likes to show off, creating an imposing impression on any visitors to the lair. Him and his original partner parted ways for eons, after many arguments and disagreements, only to be reunited by fate.

Many months ago, Kyahel embarked on a long journey to seek out all of his many descendants that are roaming the surface of Sornieth, to find an heir that will one day inherit his position of power as leader of the clan. It was a arduous task, documenting bloodlines and seeking out those worthy to be brought back to Clan Kyahel to be taught the ways of looking after those wishing to seek shelter in the warm embrace of the Blacksand Annex. Ultimately, some chose to return with Kyahel, however, no dragon was deemed ready to handle the task of leading such a large clan.

Months later, word spread throughout the land that the great, wise elder Kyahel was once again reaching out to his children. Upon speaking the young imperial Crown, an eighth generation descendant happily living alongside a shadow clan, it came to light that she had recently hatched a nest of her own. Kyahel thoughtfully observed the three hatchlings, playing obliviously nearby, while his assistant Ariat disdainfully looked on. After coming to an agreement it was decided that the strongest of the pups should return with Kyahel, to be brought up by him and shaped and trained into the clan's next leader.

Until such day arrives, Kyahel remains at the head of the clan for the foreseeable future.

The latest chapter of the story picks up where we see the clans two bravest and noble knights bringing a captured thief and rogue before Kyahel, seeking instructions on what to do with him. The resiliant nocturne claimed to be travelling across the land in search of a device, one that would allow a dragon of any flight to wield whichever element they so choose. Seeing the danger of allowing such an impossible device to fall into the hands of the shade, Kyahel directed the knights to accompany the rogue across the land and to return with the weapon, and in exchange the rogue could make his home within the clan, like many have done before him.
