Biography

Ginger
Herbalism student | An eternal grumpball | Trans male

Grumpy and dissatisfied with the world since the very day he crawled out of his eggshell, Ginger impatiently left his nest at a too young age to challenge the disappointing world and the world crushed him, like a helpless little twig under an imps foot. For much of his childhood, he was cared for by Cantaloupe, a healer with the experience to treat his spinal injuries.

He moves well enough now, thanks to her. Even flying doesn't bring him much pain anymore, though he'll likely never be able to fight well (or return to Wildclaw society). Not that he'd have the free time to do so - he's financially indebted to Canta, lacking the gold to pay for his treatment. In a compromise, he became Cantaloupes apprentice, and resigned to a future as a healer. She brought him to the Iridescent while he was still a hatchling, and though he grumps and grumbles about the weird 'warrior chefs', he kinda does admire them. Maybe it's because, despite being the fighters that Ginger wish he could be but never can, they still have a secondary battlefield. Taking something as mundane as a kitchen with the same intensity as they'd take a wild beast.

He honestly still isn't all that interested in healing despite having the smarts for it, but he's found a fascinating niche in herbs and spices. The idea of making people better through food seems... intriguing...
