Biography

Schedar
Named after a star in Cassiopeia constellation
Crushed Petals
Primary Pigment Blend
Snow Streak Pinion

Schedar's destiny as a younger, non-inheriting child of a high born family was to be matched and mated to someone who would bring her family prestige and appropriate connections. She knew the idea caused her anxiety but what else was there to do than to obey her parents? All she had as her sanctuary was painting. She created her art in secret under a false name, Arione, being supported only by her childhood playmate and lady-in-waiting, Kiririn. Her paintings are weird images and portraits of creatures not dragon, reflecting her own true feelings, images highly inappropriate for a dragon of her status. And upon being mated that would be taken from her too. Still, it was her role in life so she did what was told. What was best for her family was also best for her.

Her first meeting with Alnair was disastrous as her increasingly desperate attempt to keep up appearances made her behave cold and cruel towards him. Through a coincidence and her paintings they ended up finding a connection anyway. Both of them were in a situation where an understanding companion could change lives and they weren't by any means indifferent towards each other, so Schedar gathered her courage and defied her parents, making her own choice of mate clear to them and causing a mild scandal on the side.

She found Pergamon clan and life with Alnair highly agreeable and much more free than anything she had ever dared to wish for. She paints and sells her art completely openly now, though Al still loves her art so much that he would just keep them all if he could. Pergamon is a fairly open minded and equal clan but even there the pair is still seen as somewhat eccentric. They're both working to change things, to give their son Alshain a better world to live in.
