"You can only dream of possessing what has been my birthright. Now, I will light our way to victory!"
Her skill with a blade has been unparalleled since her childhood. Novice and master alike fell before her, despite experience that would suggest otherwise. She fought as though possessed, twirling over bloodsoaked ground as though she were dancing. Surely, this talent was unnatural, for who could do such a thing? Outside of battle, the dignified lady carries herself like a disciplined noble, despite her unsightly upbringing. When she was born, she had no idea of her ancestry. The blood of a long-forgotten, noble king flowed within her veins. He, who had lived multiple lives, supposedly departed with no children or heir, but yet, Etorariel's existence hints at a side of the story that none have known, and perhaps never will. There were no answers then, none now, and there never will be. But before the king's death, he left behind his army of unfathomable constructs, and a fleet of flying fortresses; bearing the weapons that he had once used to conquer. Perhaps Etorariel might have ever discovered the truth, if not for the mysterious awoken guardian left behind by the long-gone ruler, who continually guarded the emperor's blade, which was known to be capable of splitting the earth and decimating entire armies with a single swing. Its true name was never known, and thus, it became a beacon of radiance, glimmering with a sanctified power, bearing edge never to dull. The sword known to bring promised victory. But, what was she to do with this power? Would her future intent be to activate the slumbering, ancient powers with her blood, leading the charge with a display of splendor? Who can say, for to answer the calling is to accept the authority and responsibility that comes with it. The position will only isolate the one who sits on the throne. But if one were to somehow climb out of that abyss, and into the light, then they have proven that they are indeed, truly deserving of bearing the everlasting crown. |
