Biography

"Soraya," Murdock says, and feels his heart swell.

She doesn't love him, of course, and he knows that. Soraya doesn't love anything or anyone that isn't the stars above, constantly turning. Murdock says that she was born to be a star, and she misses the point, just like always. She thinks he's making a joke, and frowns at him because she doesn't understand it. He just thinks she's absolutely celestial.

Speaking of celestial, Murdock has considered becoming a Templar and purging himself of the magic in his veins for a different kind. He's not made of the gentle things that Soraya is, but he knows that if he does so, he'll lose her forever. And Murdock is selfish, and Murdock is sharp, but Murdock... Murdock is in love.

It's honestly disgusting.

So for the moment, Murdock will stay where he is, even as he dislikes the way that he can't control his power. At least this way, he gets to watch Soraya as she works, and hopes that one day, she can love him too.
