Biography
Aurorus watched the sundials shadow turn as K'tylk entered the city. He wanted a better way to put the pearl in place just like she did but they hadn't come up with a useable idea and today was the only possible day for at least another turn of the seasons.
He sat and worried and watched as first she tripped over brambles growing in the rubble or slipped down banks, each time crossing his wing tips that she wouldn't drop the pearl. The plasma it contained was delicate stuff and very volatile. If it broke while she was carrying it the consequences could be devastating. Aurorus remembered Nerines accident all too well and this would be far worse. His friend could quite possibly vanish forever.
Watching horrified as the enormous scaleside noggle attempted to catch K'tylk he was powerless to do anything, he'd gripped the walls of the tower so hard he left deep claw gashes in the stone. but thanks fto Six and Valen she was ok.
Now she was ready and the pearl was in position. She waved a signal that all was well and Aurorus started to line up the eye. his parchments meticulously drawn and laid out, held down by rounded pebbles showed him where to move the edges of the eye to work it into position. K'tylk knew energy and Aurorus knew calculation .. working together they were extraordinarily good at alchemy.
The radiant eye glowed, sunlight gathering inside, building up steadily and with Aurorus' precise alignment directing a bright beam down towards the hewn city.
He could see K'tylk retreating as the pearl started to glow like a dragons egg, deep inside the light built up, the pearl soaking up energy and washing it deeper into the compressed plasma inside.
K'tylk took off just as the flare started, the pearl burst open spilling supercharged plasma out into the shadow, it spread like a giant ring of water washing round corners and into dark holes, filling all the dark places where the shade had lurked for so long.
Aurorus, watching intently through a telescopic device in the tower, saw an unexpected movement in the centre of the plasma, a crackling fluttering object, lightning danced across a deep blue something.....what was it...it moved with purpose moving against the flow of energies and leaving the epicenter of the reaction. the movements suddenly made sense.... a small Imperial dragon. In that split moment of recognition the plasma erupted pouring forth a ball of extremes that made Aurorus look away from his lenses
