Biography

Working her way deep into the Hewn city, picking over the rubble and being sure to protect her precious cargo K'tylk is looking for the darkest corner of the ruins, She has seen it from the highest ledges of the beacon but the journey is awkward and precarious to walk.. if she could fly it would only take moments but she carries with her the worldmaker...a large orb made of light and dark swirling magics forged in the rebuilt solar furnace formed by Mirrorlight promenade. She's been working with Aurorus for months now calling forth and storing the energies needed to create the orb. yesterday on the longest day of the year they managed to bring those energies into one stable mass, encased in K'tylk's carefully constructed hollow pearl
Today is the day for their plan to be put into action. Aurorus is stationed in the top of the beacon waiting for the right moment to turn the eye towards K'tylk focusing light energy into the Orb, activating it and pouring life into the troubled remnants of the dark, seemingly, abandoned Hewn City.
K'tylk feels vibrations underfoot as she crosses a solid piece of wall, sliding rasping movement travelling across her path and away. Pausing she listens intently. Shes aware of the possibility of predators..Noggles are thought to live in the sewers here, she's not really a fighter, and knows it, so she really would prefer not to meet one while she's isolated.....

She steps off the wall and slides nimbly down the last rubble strewn embankment towards her goal, years of decay and unseen wild activity have rendered much of the Hewn city unrecognisable as the peaceful dwelling place it must once have been.

Ktylk catches a movement to her right...its Six flying in over the top of her head followed closely by Valen..instantly on high alert she feels a breath of air from her left, a faint change in air pressure tingles through her crest betraying a large movement, she breaks right into a sprint towards Six' flightpath. She smells cave water and feels a gust of breath on her front claws as a loud snapping sound immediately on her left her tells he she was right to move.

The huge scaleside missed her literally by a tails breadth.
As she galloped away, using one free front claw for extra purchase on the rubble and risking dropping the pearl, she heard the two heavy impacts as Six and then Valen crashed feet first into the Noggle at very high speed. She had seen them both hunt before and marvelled at how the dragons could land on anything that hard without hurting themselves.

She Slowed down again as the fight ended and the noggle skulked away, Ktylk was very close to the dark place, so cold and strange. The rocks were different. nothing grew on them, no Lichens or Mosses, she couldn't even scent any insects living under them. Some of the larger rocks even had shiny parts like they had been in the furnace like temperatures of dragon fire.
When she picked a stone up to examine it more closely, it hummed in her claws and broke open, the discolouration pushed deep inside.
The rest of the city and sunbeam ruins were light stone but these were full of reds and browns, even sooty blacks in the outer cracks. Feeling deeper into the stone she recognised the energies of the Flamecaller burnt into the Shade.
The battle, eons ago, must have come here.
The flamecaller was the first to strike and the drakes won but with time and the permanent near darkness, the claws of the shade still held tight to these tiny chunks of rubble. The depth of darkness was so strong that it affected most of the city in one way or another.
This is what K'tylk and Aurorus had worked so hard for, to bring change to this place, to draw the Lightweavers strength back into the Hewn city once more.
She placed the carefully crafted pearl in the back of the shadows, checking to make sure nothing blocked the view from the beacon and Aurorus.
It was nearly time. The sun was coming into exactly the right position for Aurorus to turn the Radiant eye on to the pearl....
