Hemlock, unlike his mate, has almost no magical affinity, but he is muscular and tough, which makes him an excellent bouncer for her hutch in the middle of the swampy area. He is often seen patrolling the area with dedication and if you want to see the Bogwitch, you will have to speak with him first, or be particularly sneaky.

He isn't particularly clever, but he loves his mate dearly. Nothing brings him more joy than her praise. She frequently showers him with gifts and comforts him if something goes wrong. Two of his first children went on to serve the Arcanist in the Observatory, but currently Ricinus, his third child and single egg from their second nest, has remained with the clan. Hemlock is both proud and ponderous of his son, who takes after his mother's wits and magical affinity.

• No one knows what becomes of dragons that try to sneak past him into the Bogwitch's hut. Either no one has tried, or no one has survived.
