'Philosophy,' I said with little conviction.” Pellinore is the prime example of an imperial. He prefers to be alone, and thinks himself smarter than most, if not all other dragons. He devotes his time to his studies- of which consists the unnatural aspects of Sornieth. 'It is a very thin line between us and the abyss... For most it is like that line out there, where the sea meets the sky. They see it. They cannot deny the evidence of their eyes, but they never cross it. They cannot cross it; though they chase it for a thousand years, it will forever stay where it is. Do you realize it took our species more than ten millennia to realize that simple fact? That the line is unreachable, that we live on a ball and not on a plate? Most of us do, anyway.' He is pleasantly polite, and can be coaxed into sharing company with others if to discuss intellectual points- or if offered raspberry scones- but he is curt, and blunt, almost to a fault. Be wary when engaging him in a debate- especially over something his opinion of which cannot be changed- or haggling over the price of information or items that can YIELD valuable information. He can be stirred to great heights of anger, which is explosive. The more calm and collected Pellinore is in such a debate, the angrier he is. Take care with a calm, collected and precise Pellinore during debate. You won't win. It is best if he is kept as far away from Kearns and Chanler as possible.
