"Chin up, ears back, not too far back. Wings relaxed, Cats. Keep the tension out of those shoulder muscles."
"They are relaxed," Catsclaw replied, without changing his facial expression. He rarely did. He didn't want to put wrinkles in his hide.
"Mm?" His trainer put a paw on one wing-shoulder, testing the muscle. "Hmm... they don't look relaxed. Have you been flying recently?"
"Only a little."
"Less. Fly less. You're putting too much muscle on the shoulder and it's ruining your silhouette."
Oops. Flight was so convenient, but - well, sacrifices had to be made. Catsclaw dipped his head. "Right," he agreed, softly. "Sorry about that."
"Don't be sorry, just make corrections," his trainer chided him. "Wallowing in your mistakes just slows you down."
He flashed Catsclaw a bright, spotless smile. Catsclaw replied with a faint, neutral smile of his own. Again - he didn't want to wrinkle his hide. The judges saw everything.
His trainer's smile widened. "Very good. Very good indeed."
