She hurled herself into the crash of thunder and was gone.

It heard her, the storm did; it took her, washed her in lightning, and threw her back out, reborn. It took her memories, it took her mind, it took everything and left her blank, unknown, unknowing, and it hurled her back down to the earth.

She fell directly through Mute's skylight and crashed into the floor of his cavern, startling the entire Wide Sky clan, and has not left since. She is relearning how the world works. She doesn't remember her past life at all.

The skylight of Mute's cavern has been replaced, and Aestival helped - it is not glass, but stained glass.

Aestival bonded with Whirligig and Myrial over lost memory, and has also grown very attached to Treehopper. His kind and gentle nature drew her; he is soft and gentle, despite being a massive Guardian, and his calm explanation of all the things she no longer understands help her relearn what the world around her is like.

Ruval has also become an anchor in her life; Aestival tends not to fight for herself, too frightened to do so, and while Ruval is also small compared to most dragons and outmatched, defending Aestival brings out her righteous indignation and protective nature. The wariness and suspicion turn to defensive fury when something upsets or frightens Aestival, and Aestival knows she can go to both Mute and Ruval if she wants to hide.
